Outpatient Clinician

LAMOUR Community Health Institute and LBD Counseling and Consulting Clinic was developed to provide an essential link between the community, the health care and human services system. Our counselors and staff are multicultural providers that speak and understand the cultural needs of the community. Our specialty is using a blend of Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) integrated into our behavioral health program services that meet the needs of children, adolescents, families and adults. We are a Multi Services Community Based Agency that is committed to advocating and providing community based, culturally-competent, and comprehensive programming services. We have a responsibility to the communities we serve and to the staff we employ to help them develop their potential.


Serving Randolph, Boston & Southeast surrounding cities; main office Randolph, MA 02368. Will travel to work at patient homes, school and within the community.


Clinician will work under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director. Conduct community based Family Therapy, Individual therapy with adults and children/ adolescences. As well as use DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) treatment methods, coaching in support of decision-making in both crisis and non-crisis situations.


This position requires an MSW, Masters in Counseling, Psychology or Education with a concentration in Counseling or Doctorate Degree. Must have over two years experience with adults, children and families or with mentally ill populations, urban youth and crisis management, including training in family therapy, children play therapy and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Must be license eligible and preferred clinicians to have the following minimum qualifications & Education:

  1. Psychologists
    • Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD, PsyD, EdD) from an accredited college or university and certification as a Health Service Provider (HSP) by the Board of Registration of Psychology in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  2. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSW)
    • Master’s degree or higher in social work from an accredited college or university
  3. Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
    • Master’s degree in mental health field (including, but not restricted to, counseling, family therapy, psychology, etc.) from an accredited college or university
  4. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT)
    • Master’s degree in mental health field (including, but not restricted to, counseling, family therapy, psychology, etc.) from an accredited college or university

Must be Cultural and Linguistic competence, bilingual a plus; Haitian Creole, Portuguese Creole, Spanish, Chinese or Vietnamese.


  1. Must understand medical necessity and be able to diagnose and assess patients Participate in interdisciplinary and/or care review meetings for plan of care.
  2. Must be able to complete assessment, treatment plan and progress note within accordance to policy that meets the professional standards and timeframe.
  3. Completes all documentation needed and develops a clearly defined interventions and measurable goals and outcomes that are consistent in accordance to policy that meets the professional standards
  4. Collaboration with care coordinator via collard contact (via phone, attendance at IEP meetings, hospital discharge meetings, Care Planning Team (CPT) meetings for youth enrolled in ICC services) and/or other behavioral health service provider
  5. Refers patients when needed to other Outpatient programs for Psychological and Neuropsychological Testing, Medication Management, In-Home Therapy Program (IHT)/ Family Stabilization Team ( FST), Community Support Program (CSP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
  6. Conducts review with managed care insurance to obtain authorization for services.
  7. Utilize comprehensive, home-based behavioral health assessment inclusive of the CANS, with fidelity in regards to process notes, treatment plans and assessments and discharge plan
  8. Coaching in support of decision-making in both crisis and non-crisis situations9. Will be trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) treatment methods
  9. 24/7 phone crisis response via phone
  10. Pass CORI & SORI


  • Ability to communicate effectively in a community based environment
  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess knowledge of child development; including physical, mental, emotional
  • Must have Clinical and Psychiatric Expertise; must have Cultural and Linguistic Competence;
  • Must be computer literate. Detail and organizational skills critical;
  • Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills willing to work directly with patients and clients
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills


  • $20 to $30 per hour Contracted and fee for services
  • Depending on licensure and experience
  • Must have flexible schedule 8:00am to 7:30pm as some evenings and weekends
